Develop Sweaters Around Your Brand Requirements
Knitvella Sweater supports apparel brands, importers, wholesalers and retail purchasing teams with private label sweater development and bulk production. Programs can include crew-neck sweaters, cardigans, cashmere and cashmere-blend styles, turtlenecks, V-necks, cable knits, half-zip sweaters and seasonal patterned knitwear.
Private label development covers the garment specification as well as brand identification. Yarn, construction, fit, colors, labels, trims and packaging are reviewed together so the approved sample provides a practical reference for production and delivery.
Establish the Product and Order Brief
Development can begin from a technical pack, drawings, reference photographs or a physical sweater. Buyers should identify the intended product range, target material, size requirements and estimated quantity by style and color.
If adapting an existing reference, specify which details should remain and which need adjustment. Our custom sweater solutions review helps clarify these decisions before sampling. A photograph alone may not establish yarn composition, weight, finished measurements or internal construction, so additional information may be needed for accurate costing.
Coordinate Materials, Fit and Branding
Material options include cotton, wool, cashmere, acrylic, viscose, polyester, nylon and blends, subject to sourcing availability. Yarn and gauge are reviewed against the required hand feel, garment weight and knit structure. Cashmere programs require a confirmed fiber composition.
Fit development uses the buyer’s measurement chart and grading requirements. Branding can include embroidery, jacquard, intarsia or woven labels, depending on the artwork and construction. Through logo and branding, we confirm dimensions, colors and placement before the relevant sample is approved.
Confirm Labels and Packaging Information
Private label orders can include main labels, size labels, care labels, hangtags, barcodes, individual polybags, inner packing and master cartons. Files should clearly identify which information changes by style, color or size.
Buyers need to approve brand artwork, label wording, product identification and packaging instructions. Care information should correspond to the confirmed garment specification. Our labels and hangtags review coordinates these details with attachment positions and the order assortment.
Approve the Sample Before Bulk Production
Sample review covers material, finished measurements, fit, appearance, workmanship, branding and trims. Packaging samples or layouts are also confirmed where required. Revisions are consolidated into one current specification before bulk approval.
Standard custom samples typically require about 7–12 days. More involved yarn, pattern or construction development generally takes around 10–15 days. Sample charges and revision arrangements are confirmed for each project. Production follows the approved reference; later changes need review for their effect on materials, cost and delivery.
Plan MOQ, Quality Checks and Shipment
Standard OEM and private label MOQ is typically around 300–500 pieces per style and color. Basic repeat styles using available yarn may be discussed from about 200 pieces. Custom-dyed yarn or complex constructions may require 500–1,000 pieces or more.
New private label programs usually require 35–45 days after approval; complex or peak-season orders may need 45–60 days. Checks cover knitting, linking, finishing, measurements, branding and packing. Final quantities and size assortments are reviewed before shipment. EXW, FOB and CIF arrangements are confirmed against the destination and order requirements.
