Define the Label Set for Your Sweater Order
Knitvella Sweater supports apparel brands, private-label buyers, importers and wholesalers with labels and hangtags for OEM sweater programs. Options include woven main labels, size labels, care labels, paper hangtags and buyer-specified barcode identification.
The required label set should be established during product development. Each item has a different purpose, attachment position and approval requirement. We review the files alongside the sweater construction, size range and packing instructions so branding and product information remain consistent throughout the order.
Confirm Main Label Dimensions and Placement
Main labels require an approved logo, finished dimensions, colors, fold arrangement and attachment position. A label inside a crew-neck sweater may need a different size or placement from one used on a high-neck style or cardigan.
The label should sit neatly without pulling the surrounding knit or creating unnecessary bulk. Sample review checks its appearance and how it connects to the garment. Buyers can coordinate the label design with embroidery or knitted graphics through logo and branding customization.
Approve Size and Care Label Information
Size labels must follow the buyer’s approved naming system and match the order breakdown. Letter sizes, numerical sizes and market-specific formats should not be substituted without confirmation.
Care label wording should correspond to the confirmed product composition and approved care requirements. Buyers need to provide or approve the information required for their target market, including any additional identification details. A previous label file should be reviewed before reuse if the material, construction or care instructions have changed. Labels should not carry unsupported fiber or certification claims.
Develop Hangtags and Barcode Identification
Hangtag development covers artwork, dimensions, paper specification, printing, hole position and attachment method. The design should allow the required information to remain readable without making the tag unnecessarily large or heavy for the sweater.
Where barcodes or SKU information are required, buyers should supply the approved data and clarify whether it changes by style, color or size. The final file must keep the code, text and product variation aligned. Any scanning checks or buyer-specific identification requirements should be agreed before production.
Review Samples Before Bulk Application
Physical samples help assess woven lettering, printed colors, label dimensions and hangtag finish. An attached garment sample also shows whether the position and fold arrangement suit the knit construction.
Label and hangtag approval is coordinated with sample development. Comments should identify the specific item and required revision. The current approved files and samples become the bulk reference; outdated versions should be removed from the production instructions.
Plan Sourcing, Cost and Packing Checks
Label quantities, colors, dimensions, printing requirements and the number of product variations affect cost and sourcing minimums. These minimums may differ from the sweater order MOQ, so they need review before quotation and scheduling.
Bulk checks cover label appearance, wording, attachment and matching to the correct garment size. Hangtags and barcode identification are checked against the approved product breakdown. Through packaging and retail preparation, attachment, folding and bagging requirements can be coordinated before shipment.
